    Gary, that sort of sentiment cuts both ways—if evangelical Christians are going to brand people with different approaches to faith than theirs "The Others", why should those in government pay attention to the concerns self-described evangelicals?

    I encourage you to listen to or read the speech, it addresses a lot of issues along those lines.
